Airport Service
A "Meet and Greet" service is available from our branches for most domestic flights. Call us free from any phone on Free Phone 0800 800 956 for airport service from any city. An airport fee may apply where the airport is more than 5kms from our nearest branch.
One Way Rentals
One way rentals are available between most locations, however minimum rental periods may apply. Some one way restrictions apply to some vehicle types.
Licence Requirements
All car rentals require a current New Zealand, international or internationally approved drivers licence. Licences must either be in English or have a certified English translation attached.
Insurance
Vehicle insurance is mandatory at all car rentals in New Zealand and must be paid prior to hire. All accidents are subject to an excess (deductible). In some circumstances this may be reduced for an additional premium.
Credit Cards
We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Amex CREDIT CARDS. One of these is required at the time of hire to cover the contractual obligations and the Insurance Excess (also known as "deductable") as covered in the rental agreement. We cannot accept any DEBIT CARD.
G.S.T. Inclusive
Goods and Services Tax is a New Zealand tax charge of 12.5% applied to all goods and services. G.S.T. is included in New Zealand Rent a Car's rates.
