If you’re in the mood to get the blood pumping and adrenaline racing, then you don’t want to miss out on these fantastic adventure activities in and around Auckland:
Auckland’s famous Skytower is home to one of the most exciting and extreme activities in the country. You can strap yourself into a safety harness, and take a death-defying jump from near the top of the Skytower (and see unparalleled views of Auckland … if you manage to keep your eyes open). Unlike bungy jumping, you remain upright at all times when experiencing the SkyJump. The deceleration you feel on the SkyJump is also far gentler than bungy jumping, which makes it one of the most exciting and enjoyable ways to free fall.
One of the most famous bungy jumps in the whole world is within arm’s reach when you visit Auckland. The Harbour Bridge jump is the only bungy experience in New Zealand where you can actually touch the ocean (or get dunked right the way in if you’re more daring!).
If you’d rather not take the ultimate plunge – but you still want to explore the Harbour Bridge hands-on – then you bridge climb is for you. This is only way to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Auckland Harbour Bridge on foot. You’ll climb to some of the highest points of the bridge, and get spectacular once-in-a-lifetime views.
New Zealand’s only indoor snow resort allows you to enjoy skiing and snowboarding all year round. If you’ve come to NZ in the summer but still want to get a taste for the white stuff, then a trip to Snowplanet in Auckland is going to be just what the doctor ordered. With full equipment hire, lessons, and dining facilities on offer, Snowplanet is a fun and adventurous day out for the whole family.
